Who you are dealing with

AyahClarity is published by Ahmed Ali, who can be reached at a416647123@gmail.com.

These terms and Apple's licence agreement

The AyahClarity app is licensed, not sold, through the App Store. That licence is Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement — the standard EULA — which covers your right to use the app on your Apple devices, and which Apple presents as part of the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. We have not supplied a custom end-user licence agreement in its place.

The page you are reading does a different job. It describes the service: what the app teaches, the limits of that teaching, how the subscription works, and how you may use the content. Where it touches on the licence to use the software itself and differs from the standard EULA, the standard EULA governs that licence.

What AyahClarity is

AyahClarity is a language-learning aid for understanding the Arabic of the Qur'an. This release covers Al-Fātiḥah only: seven short lessons, the meaning of each word and phrase in its place, practice questions with explanations, and revision on a schedule. The first three lessons, and revision of every word they teach, are free.

It does not include memorisation testing, recitation checking through the microphone, an AI tutor, accounts or cloud sync. If any of those arrive later, they will be described where you can see them before you decide to pay for anything.

The limits of what it teaches

If you believe a meaning, question or explanation is wrong, please tell us — how to report it.

The text, and who owns what

The Arabic of the Qur'an is not ours and we claim no ownership of it. The edition used, the English translations referred to, and their licences are listed inside the app under Settings → Content & sources, with a link for each.

The parts that are ours are the app itself and our own editorial material: the lesson structure, the explanations, the questions and the wording. Those remain our property, and you may use them for your own study. Please do not copy, republish, resell or redistribute them, or extract them in bulk, without our permission.

The subscription

What is on offer

Subscription terms, as Apple presents them before you buy
NameAyahClarity Premium, as a monthly subscription
LengthOne month, renewing automatically each month
PriceUS$9.99 per month in the United States. In other countries the App Store shows the equivalent price in your own currency before you confirm.
Free trialTwo weeks, for customers Apple finds eligible for the introductory offer
What it unlocksLessons four to seven of Al-Fātiḥah, and revision without the free tier's limit of 30 reviews a day

Payment is taken by Apple through the Apple Account on your device. Apple shows you the price, the length of the subscription and the renewal terms, and asks you to confirm, before anything is charged.

The subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. If you are eligible for the free trial, it converts into a paid month at the end of the two weeks unless you cancel before then.

Finishing the course does not change the billing. Completing all seven lessons does not cancel the subscription and does not end a free trial early. We are telling you this plainly because it would be easy to assume otherwise: if you have finished and do not want another month, cancel through Apple.

Cancelling, restoring and refunds

When access ends

When a subscription expires or is cancelled, or a renewal payment fails, the app returns to the free tier: lessons one to three and revision of the words they teach stay open, revision returns to 30 reviews a day, and lessons four to seven lock. Your learning records are not deleted. Your progress, your answers, your revision schedule, your notes and your settings stay on the device, and they are there again if you subscribe later. Your records live on your device and nowhere else, so keep your own backup — the Support page explains how.

We charge for what exists at the time you pay for it. Nothing in the subscription is a promise of content that has not been delivered.

Using the app properly

Use AyahClarity for your own study. Please do not try to unlock paid lessons other than by subscribing, interfere with how the app works, or use it in a way that misrepresents it as a religious authority or as a qualification.

The app is offered as it is. It is maintained by a very small team, and while we will fix what we can, we cannot promise that it will be free of errors or available without interruption. What we can promise is that when an error in the teaching material is pointed out to us, it will be taken seriously and corrected.

Changes

If these terms change, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it. A change that affects what you are paying for will be shown in the app before it takes effect for you.
