Support
Everything on this page describes what the app actually does today. Where it cannot do something, it says so.
AyahClarity has not been released publicly yet. This page is published ahead of its first release, so the help you need is here from the first day the app is available.
What AyahClarity teaches
AyahClarity helps you understand the Al-Fātiḥah you recite in every prayer. This release covers Al-Fātiḥah only.
- Seven short lessons, one verse at a time.
- The meaning of each word and phrase, in its place in the verse.
- Practice questions, with an explanation of the answer you chose.
- Revision that brings each word back on a schedule.
The first three lessons, and revision of every word they teach, are free. Lessons four to seven need a subscription.
It is a language-learning aid for understanding Qur'anic Arabic. It is not a work of tafsīr and not a substitute for study with a qualified teacher.
What it does not do: there is no memorisation testing, no recitation checking through the microphone, no AI tutor, no accounts and no cloud sync. The lessons, the questions and your revision all work offline; the only thing that needs a connection is your subscription — buying it, restoring it, or the app checking with the App Store whether it is still active.
Getting in touch
Email is the only support channel. It is read by a one-person team, so please be patient — we cannot promise a reply within any particular time, and we would rather say that than make a promise we cannot keep.
Reporting a technical problem
Email a416647123@gmail.com and include, as far as you can:
- what you were doing when it happened, step by step;
- what you expected and what happened instead;
- your app version, from Settings → About → Version;
- your iPhone model and iOS version, from the iPhone's Settings → General → About;
- a screenshot, if it shows the problem.
Please do not send anything we do not need. We do not need your name, your address, your Apple Account details or your payment information, and we will not ask for them.
Reporting a meaning, question or explanation that looks wrong
This matters more to us than anything else on this page. If a translation, an explanation or a question looks wrong, please tell us.
The app can prepare the details for you:
- Open Settings → Report a content issue (or the same option from within a lesson).
- Choose what kind of problem it is and describe what you noticed.
- Tap Copy diagnostic report, then Email it to a416647123@gmail.com — which opens your own mail app with the address and subject already filled in — and paste the report into the message.
The report is shown to you on screen before you copy it. It contains the kind of problem, the lesson and question it came from, the content version and review status, the app version and build, your iOS version and your own comment — nothing about you, and none of your learning records or notes. Nothing is sent until you send it from your mail app, and you can paste it somewhere else instead.
If you would rather write the email yourself, the two things we really need are which lesson or question it was (its title, or the verse and word) and what you think the correct meaning is. A screenshot is welcome but optional.
The report screen never transmits anything by itself — there is no reporting service connected to the app, and it will not tell you a report was sent. Your mail app sends it, when you do. If you send a screenshot, remember we see everything in it.
Subscription, free trial and cancelling
AyahClarity has one subscription: a monthly auto-renewing subscription that unlocks lessons four to seven and removes the daily limit on revision. In the United States it is US$9.99 per month; elsewhere the App Store shows the price in your own currency before you confirm. Payment is taken by Apple, and the App Store shows you the price and the renewal terms before you buy.
If you are eligible, the subscription starts with a two-week free trial. Eligibility is decided by Apple, and the app shows the trial on the subscription screen only when Apple says you qualify. The trial converts to a paid month unless you cancel before it ends.
Cancelling
Cancellation is always through Apple — you never have to contact us to cancel.
- In the app: Settings → Subscription → Manage or cancel subscription.
- Or directly: apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.
Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. A subscription lives in your Apple Account, not in the app. If you remove AyahClarity from your iPhone, Apple will keep renewing the subscription until you cancel it in the App Store.
Finishing the course does not stop the billing either. Completing all seven lessons of Al-Fātiḥah does not cancel your subscription and does not end a free trial early. If you have finished and do not want to be billed again, cancel through Apple.
Restoring a purchase
On a new iPhone, after reinstalling, or if the app does not recognise a subscription you are paying for, use Settings → Subscription → Restore purchases (the same button appears on the subscription screen). The app asks the App Store, under the Apple Account signed in on that device, and unlocks the lessons if an active subscription is found. A restore brings back access; it does not bring back your learning progress, which lives on the device (see below).
What happens when a subscription ends
When a subscription expires, is cancelled, or a renewal payment fails, the app returns to the free tier:
- lessons one to three stay open, and so does revision of every word they teach;
- revision goes back to a limit of 30 reviews a day;
- lessons four to seven lock again;
- nothing you have learned is deleted. Your progress, answers, revision schedule and settings stay on the device, and they are there again if you resubscribe.
If a payment fails, updating your payment method in the App Store restores access.
Refunds
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue, approve or speed up a refund, and we would be misleading you if we said otherwise.
Your progress, and making a backup
AyahClarity keeps everything in one file on your own iPhone. There are no accounts and no cloud copy, which means your records are private to your device — and also that we have no way to recover them. Nothing is stored on a server of ours, because there is no server of ours.
You can make your own backup at any time:
- Export
- Settings → Your data → Export my learning history writes a file and hands it to the iOS share sheet, so you can save it to Files or iCloud Drive, or email it to yourself. You choose where it goes.
- Restore
- Settings → Your data → Restore from a backup reads that file back in. It merges with whatever is already on the device: where both have a record, the one with more answers behind it wins, so restoring an older backup cannot undo work you have done since.
- What a backup cannot do
- A backup file cannot grant paid access — a subscription comes from the App Store and only from the App Store — and it cannot assert progress that has no recorded answers behind it. The restore screen tells you what it refused and what it rebuilt.
Export a backup before you delete the app or move to a new iPhone. Deleting the app deletes its file, and there is no copy anywhere else. Without an exported backup, your progress cannot be recovered — not by you, and not by us.
Deleting the app or a backup does not affect your subscription, and vice versa. If you want everything gone from the device but want to keep the app installed, use Settings → Your data → Delete all local data; it also tells you if anything could not be deleted.
What we cannot do
So that nothing on this page reads as a promise it is not:
- We cannot promise a response time.
- We cannot issue refunds — that is Apple's process.
- We cannot recover lost progress; there is no cloud backup and no account to restore from.
- We cannot cancel a subscription for you; Apple holds the subscription.
- We cannot see your learning records, your notes or anything else on your device.
Privacy and terms
Our Privacy Policy describes exactly what the app stores and what, if anything, leaves your device. The Terms of Use describe what the app is, the subscription, and the limits of what it teaches.
